My family has owned dogs for as long as I remember. We lived in the countryside and it was kind of a necessity to have dogs around the house. They were not a pedigree dogs but had the ability to grow my passion for them. My first dog of the official breed was Briard, later came the Skye Terrier. It was my first breed in my kennel. I still breed them to this day and have remained faithful to my line from the beginning. I founded the affix KIAORA in 1995 and my first litter was born in 1997 (Skye Terrier litter).
Later I also added Bearded Collies. I met this breed and the beautiful Old English Sheepdogs in the late nineties when I lived for two years in a world-famous kennel „aus dem Elbe Urstromtal“ in Belgium. Those two years as a young girl among all those famous dogs of both breeds further increased my passion for dog breeding, showing, grooming long-haired breeds, and everything that has to do with the dog world. I learned more in those two years than any book could have taught me in a decade.
When I returned to my home country, I was able to take one of the dogs with me to show (…sorry OES‘s lovers but I chose the beardie ☺ ) Later I started my own breeding program for Beardies. Since that I have bred over 20 champions, Best in show winners multiply BIG winners and specialty winners all over Europe and dogs carrying KIAORA prefix have been succesfull overseas as well (the USA, Canada, Israel, South Africa). I have been showing my dogs in most European countries including Great Britain.
For more than 15 years I have been president of the Bearded Collie club Czech Republic.
In 2012 I started to judge. First I was approved as specialist judge for Beardies, then I added the breeds that are close to my heart – OES, and other english sheepdogs.Currently I am an FCI international judge for the entire Group 1 and i started my education in Group 3.
Besides my home country, I have judged in Germany, Finland Norway, Austria and I have also been approved by the Royal Kennel Club and awarded CC at the championship show for Beardies in England.
I am very highly honored to be part of this well-known OES event as co-judge. Thank you to the Belgian OES club and OES Forum for this opportunity and trust.
